MCP server
RegAlert in your AI assistant
Search and read regulatory documents from your AI assistant through the RegAlert MCP server.
Connect your AI assistant to RegAlert and ask about regulation in plain words. Instead of pasting circulars into a chat, your assistant finds the documents, reads them and cites them, through a connection you authorize.
The server uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools and data. You sign in with your RegAlert account. Every tool is free with an account, under fair use.
What you can ask
| Task | What RegAlert returns | Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Find documents on a subject | Documents that match your words, with title, date, regulator and the start of the summary. The total is exact. | search_documents |
| See what is new | Documents newest first, for a regulator, a country, a region, a topic or a date range. | recent_documents |
| Read a document | Metadata, summary and the English text — in parts for a long document, or only the passages that answer a question. | get_document |
| See what amended or replaced a rule | What the document amends, replaces or is issued under, and what amended or replaced it. Not a check that it is in force. | get_lineage |
| Find a regulator or a topic | The regulators covered and their codes; the topic tags and how many documents each has. | list_regulatorslist_topics |
See the tool reference for every input and the REST twin of each tool. To see what your connection provides, ask:
Which RegAlert tools are available in this connection?

Prompts to try
Change the regulator, the country or the subject to your own.
What is new from a regulator
What did the Central Bank of Nigeria publish in the last two weeks? Summarise anything about capital or liquidity.
Research a subject
Search RegAlert for MAS guidance on outsourcing, then read the most recent one and list the obligations for a bank.
Compare countries
Which EU regulators published something about crypto-asset custody this month? Give me the documents and their dates.
See what amended or replaced a rule
Find the FCA's rules on the Consumer Duty. For each one, tell me whether it was amended or replaced, and by what.
Read a long document
Read the Central Bank of Kenya's framework for domestic systemically important banks. Which banks does it apply to, what must they do, and by when? Quote the passages you rely on.
For a summary, ask your assistant to link each document it used (every one has a page on regalert.today) and to say when a search found more documents than it read.
