MCP server
Connect your assistant
Add RegAlert to your AI client, sign in, and check your connection.
Before you start
You need a RegAlert account and an AI client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in. The account is free.
You do not need an API key or a token. You sign in through your browser, and your client keeps the connection.
Connection details
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Name | RegAlert |
| Server URL | https://mcp.regalert.today/mcp |
| Transport, if asked | Streamable HTTP |
| Authentication | Sign-in in the browser (OAuth 2.1) |
Leave any API key or header fields empty.
Add RegAlert to your client
Claude
Connect your RegAlert account so Claude can search and read regulatory documents for you.
Check the details in Claude, confirm that you want to add RegAlert, and sign in to RegAlert when Claude asks.
Free, Pro and Max: open Customize → Connectors, select + Add → Add custom connector, enter the connection details and continue. Leave the advanced settings empty. The Free plan allows one custom connector.
Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds RegAlert first under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, with the same details. Members then find RegAlert under Customize → Connectors and select Connect to sign in.
Turn RegAlert on for a chat under + → Connectors. Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps use the connectors of your Claude account. See Claude's guide to custom connectors.
ChatGPT
Connect your RegAlert account so ChatGPT can search and read regulatory documents for you.
- Open ChatGPT Plugins.
- Select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it RegAlert and enter the server URL under Connection.
- Choose OAuth, read the notice and select I understand and want to continue.
- Select Create as a plugin and sign in to RegAlert when asked.
- Install the plugin, start a new chat and pick RegAlert from the @ menu.
Your plan and your workspace settings decide whether you can add a custom MCP server. If the option is missing, ask your workspace admin or see OpenAI's guide. Menus can differ between accounts and app versions.
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user regalert https://mcp.regalert.today/mcpThen start Claude Code, run /mcp, pick regalert and select Authenticate. Your browser opens the RegAlert sign-in. --scope user makes the server available in all your projects.
Cursor
Or add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json yourself:
{
"mcpServers": {
"regalert": {
"url": "https://mcp.regalert.today/mcp"
}
}
}Cursor asks you to sign in to RegAlert the first time it starts the server.
VS Code
Or add it to .vscode/mcp.json in your project:
{
"servers": {
"regalert": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.regalert.today/mcp"
}
}
}VS Code opens the sign-in when the server starts. Use the tools from Copilot Chat in agent mode.
Grok
- Open Grok Connectors.
- Select New Connector → Custom.
- Enter
https://mcp.regalert.today/mcpand sign in to RegAlert in your browser.
On Business and Enterprise accounts an admin adds the connector first. See Grok's connector guide.
Other clients
Your client must support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in in the browser. Clients that only run local servers, only speak SSE, or only take an API key cannot use this sign-in.
- Open your client's MCP or connector settings and add a remote server named RegAlert.
- Enter
https://mcp.regalert.today/mcpas the server URL. Choose Streamable HTTP if asked. - Choose OAuth. Leave the API key and header fields empty.
- Sign in to RegAlert, go back to your client, and turn the tools on for your chat if needed.
Your own code can call the REST API on this host with the same sign-in.
Check your connection
Ask your assistant:
Check my RegAlert access, then show me the five newest documents.
Then try:
Search RegAlert for guidance on outsourcing from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Compare the tools your client shows with the tool reference. If the connection fails or tools are missing, see troubleshooting.
